Skyroof

Roofers shouldn't need a ladder to do math.

The ask

Get a number before the truck leaves the shop.

Roof estimates meant driving out, climbing up and measuring with a tape that's never quite long enough. Contractors wanted square footage without the ladder, the drive or the drama.

The fix

Type an address. Trace the roof. Done.

Skyroof puts satellite imagery under your cursor. Click the corners, get the area, squares and a shareable estimate. $9.99 a roof, no subscription, no ladder.

What makes it work

Loud where it counts. Quiet everywhere else.

01

Find the house. Click the corners. Get a number.

The ad I cut for Skyroof runs the whole job in 30 seconds. Type an address, the Solar API takes a first pass at the roof, drag the corners where they belong, and square footage and a price breakdown come out the other end.

02

Three words and a period.

"Measure any roof. Instantly." is the whole pitch, so it gets the whole screen. The dots drifting behind it are the logo's roof, traced point to point, which happens to be exactly how the tool works.

03

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Six capabilities, three steps, one price. I cut everything that wasn't a step. Then I cut the word "onboarding."

04

Built for the driveway.

Most estimates happen standing next to a truck, so mobile isn't the shrunken version. Big tap targets, a full-width $9.99 button and numbers you can read in direct sun.

05

A menu you can hit with work gloves on.

Five links, giant type, one Sign In. If the menu needs a manual, the menu is wrong.

Brand system

Hard hat, meet hard drive.

Any roof.

Space Grotesk · headlines

2,450 sq ft · $9.99

Space Mono · numbers

Black and neon green, because the product lives outside, on job sites, in direct sun. Space Grotesk brings the confidence. Space Mono handles the numbers, because measurements should look like measurements. The logo is a roof drawn as connected points, which is also how you use the product.
